The project is aimed at community level mass screening of oral premalignant disorders (OPMD) in tobacco users of rehabilitation colonies in UT. The project involves identification of all risk factors for oral cancer, optimal screening of the population & adequate management of high risk subjects. A large part of the project is dedicated to tobacco cessation, community health education & spreading awareness about the ill effects of tobacco. 309 individuals were screened by the team of DOST project during 2021-2022.
